New Year, New Marketing Plan

It’s officially 2022, and that’s cause for celebration! Which we’re sure you’ve done plenty of. We know we did! But as the music fades out and the confetti is swept away, we must get back to work. 

With a new year comes new opportunities for growth and exciting changes. But how do you get there? Any successful business knows that the key to achieving any kind of success is by setting goals, or in this case, resolutions! So we thought we would help you out a little bit by putting together a list of our favorite New Year resolutions for marketing success.

New Year’s Resolutions For Marketing Success

1. Spend Less, Save More

This one sounds easy in theory, but anyone who has tried to cut spending knows just how difficult it can truly be. At the end of the day, however, if you are an advertiser, or you’re looking to advertise your business, you need to take a good long look at where your money is going now, and where it could be going in the future. Set aside enough time to set a firm, yet realistic, budget that can help make 2022 your best year yet!

2. Lose Some Weight

Did we make you look twice at that one? Of course we’re not actually talking about shedding those few pesky pounds around the middle, although to each their own, what we’re talking about here is losing those tactics you’ve been using year in and year out that just aren’t getting you anywhere anymore. We all know that things change so quickly, so what worked 10 years ago, didn’t necessarily fly 5 years ago, and what was great 5 years ago, probably isn’t going to work that well today, so shed that weight! Start fresh by brainstorming new ideas with your team. You never know where a good brainstorming session can lead!

3. Travel More

Have you heard of Google My Business? Well if you haven’t, allow us to introduce you! Google My Business is a free tool that is available to any business that allows you to put all of your business information (address, phone number, product list, etc) into a Google panel. Sounds cool, right? It is! And did we mention it’s completely free?! So make sure to go claim your Google My Business listing today!

4. Learn Something New

So you’ve heard this one 100 times, but it’s important as a business, and as an individual, to never stop learning. This can be something as simple as taking Facebook Blueprint courses, or you can kick it up a notch and teach yourself how to code. I know those are drastically different, but the point is that there is nothing your business can’t succeed at with a little effort, so make sure you’re taking the necessary steps to ensure that you always keep learning.

5. Be Creative

Okay we know that creativity doesn’t just grow on trees, but with the world changing as quickly as it does right now, sometimes the best way to improve yourself is to challenge yourself creatively. Consider picking up a new social media platform, such as TikTok or even Instagram Reels, and start there! Creativity can strike at any moment, and right now videos are the way to express that! 

6. Keep Your Resolutions

Seems obvious, right? We all know how easy it is to go into the New Year eager to achieve your goals, but we also know how easy it is to forget about them. Make your business resolutions a priority! If you’re prioritizing your business, then others will too!

So we’ve given you the framework on how to build your resolutions, but now it’s your turn to take them and do with them what you will! We encourage you to take two or three of these resolutions and really focus on them in 2022. You never know where a resolution can take you!
