Things seem to be slowly moving in a new direction. Maybe your business just opened back up or you’re in the planning stages of reopening. At Rethink Media, we know that with the right resources you’ll be thriving in no time!

1. Stay connected with your customers.

  • 64% said brands should continue advertising products as normal.
  • 52% said seeing/hearing ads gives them a sense of normalcy.
  • 77% feel more positively about brands making an effort to support society in this time.
  • but only 7% of respondents said brands should continue using their normal brand tone of voice.

So keep your marketing strategy strong and your business heard! Your customers want to hear from you and any changes happening in your business.

2.Reach out to other businesses.

Your neighboring small businesses have been going through the same thing as you.

Some small businesses have even partnered together through this tough time!

City Home, a home decor and design business out of Portland, Oregon, has partnered with a local florist to offer an incentive to customers. A select few City Home customers received a surprise bouquet from a local florist with their delivery. This promotion served as an incentive to purchase from City Home, and gained a new customer base for the local florist.

If you don’t have a local business you could partner with, check into an online group!
We created the “Rethink Tank” Facebook Group where business in our area can come together to express ideas, concerns and encourage each other!

3.Maintain new practices.

Your customers want to know what steps you’re taking to keep them and your staff healthy.

Things are changing fast, so keeping up with the most recent recommendations is key.

Let your followers on social media know what these updates are to give them peace of mind and so they know what to expect.

4.Have a marketing plan.

When you think of ways to market your business during a difficult time, you need to be thinking long term. “How can I advertise right now, months from now and later this year?”

Here is a quick look at how your message should adjust as things change!

5.Digital Marketing Presence.

Keeping up with your digital marketing is essential for your business.

Shopping online, and streaming services were both popular with customers before COVID-19. Entertainment will forever continue to be online.

Keeping your content relevant and in front of your customers where they already are looking online is more important than ever.

So, over the next few months remember to keep invested in your marketing, your followers updated, and your staff and customers healthy!
